Building Brighter Futures Through Learning
Boosting Academic Success at Mawombe High School
This program is for students who are not doing well in school. At Mawombe High School, we started offering tutoring for grades 8–12 and weekend classes for grades 11 and 12. Core disciplines like maths are the focus. We expect that at least 20% of the students will obtain a distinction in math and more than 50% will get more than 50% in math through this program. Students became more confident, improved their basic abilities, and showed a fresh desire to do well.
Career guidance in High Schools in uMfolozi Circuit
This year, we want to help more than 200 students in the uMfolozi Circuit with career advice, applying to universities and TVET schools, getting information about scholarships, and writing letters of inspiration. We will also hold workshops for teens who are not in school on NSFAS, writing a CV, and going back to school. We want to help more students next year by adding more of these programs.

STEM Clubs and Innovation Workshops in Mtubatuba Schools
We plan to expose learners in Mtubatuba to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM) through engaging activities such as robotics, coding bootcamps, and environmental experiments using recycled materials. These clubs are designed to develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and inspire interest in tech careers. We aim to expand these programs next year to reach more learners and deepen their STEM engagement.
STEM Exploration & Innovation
This pillar introduces learners to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) through school-based clubs, competitions, and practical workshops. Activities in robotics, coding, and environmental science cultivate creativity, critical thinking, and technological curiosity, preparing learners for future innovation-driven careers.
